With the 'patch' removed
the extent of rust and battery acid damage is revealed. Not only
unsightly, the existing rust hole would continue to expand and
the 'new' panel would rust out even faster. After cutting away
the rust, the area is blasted clean before a new panel is installed.

After forming, fitting
and welding the new battery tray panel is right at home.
