Assembly of the chassis and drivetrain commences so it is ready when the underside
of the body and the jambs are painted.

Here, the inside and the underside of the body has been painted black. Again this customer chose POR-15 rust preventative paint. A great option, especially when the car is not a stock restoration and none of these areas are visible upon completion. We even apply POR-15 inside areas such as the rocker panels, hinge pillars, and other hard to access areas using a special pressure wand. The jambs and firewall have been painted. Next, the body panels will be installed. This car is painted assembled because of the metallic/pearl paint color. Note the plastic between the body and chassis. This protects the painted chassis during painting and wiil be easily removed after.
